Peace & Justice

Joy Mennonite has a long history of partnering with a wide variety of community groups on issues related to peace and justice. Some of past efforts include our many years of sponsoring the Center for Conscience for Action (from 2004-2018), partnering with Pax Christi and Trinity Presbyterian Church in holding an anti-racism training, supporting the work of Great Plains Tar Sands Resistance in agitating for a stop to the Keystone XL pipeline, speaking out against all forms of oppression in our community, and supporting groups that do good work like the Oklahoma City Rescue Mission, Oklahoma Conference of Churches, Oklahoma Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty, and Mennonite Central Committee (to name just a few).

There is a lot more to tell, so please check back on this page for more information on our congregation’s P&J work.
