Peace & Justice
Most of our congregation P&J work is done through CCA (the Center for Conscience in Action), an organization which we fiscally sponsor. We share staff member with CCA but also have many of our members currently serving on CCA’s Action Committee and Board.
Other recent areas of P&J work in our congregation include: partnering with Pax Christi and Trinity Presbyterian Church in holding an anti-racism training, supporting the work of Great Plains Tar Sands Resistance in agitating for a stop to the Keystone XL pipeline, speaking out against all forms of oppression in our community, and supporting groups that do good work like the Oklahoma City Rescue Mission, Oklahoma Conference of Churches, Oklahoma Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty, and Mennonite Central Committee (to name just a few).
There is a lot more to tell, so please check back on this page for more information on our congregation’s P&J work.
